Road Trip to Minnesota...

My mom flew up a week and a half ago, and we (minus Steve) took a road trip up to Minnesota to see extended family there. We enjoyed impeccable hospitality from Great Aunt Rosie and cousin Diane and her family. They invited many other cousins over for coffees and a BBQ. My mom got to catch up with her cousins that she hasn't seen in years. I got to meet some for the first time, or get to know them as an adult myself. None had met the girls yet and of course they warmly welcomed them.
Aunt Rosie was the oldest and funniest of our relatives. She is nearly 89 and looks and acts much younger. She was a star with the girls and especially enjoyed Emilyn.

Cousin Renee and her husband Howard kindly had us to their farm for dinner. The cow and veggies were fresh off the land. It was incredibly tasty as you can imagine.
The girls enjoyed the food, but were especially fond of the animals they got to meet on the farm. Here is Jaci helping feed a calf and petting a cat. Renee's daughter Dee-Dee is raising puppies and Jaci especially enjoyed playing with them.

The girls also sit atop an old horse named Charlie.
I'm sorry that I don't have photos from the BBQ and of Diane's family to post here now...my mom took those with her camera. =)
