Science Class...

Daddy came home from dropping off Mimi and Pepe at the aiport and announced to the girls, "Ok, outside for science!". He had found a Praying Mantis while he was out and brought it home for the girls to see. We put him on a bush in our shrubbery and kept checking on him through the evening. He was gone today, so hopefully he's thriving. Thankfully there are lots of crickets around our place, so he should be a happy little Mantis. Here Lainey shows off a cricket she caught bare-handed (could this really be MY daughter?).
Lainey also joyfully, without flinching, picked up a dead cicada bug and carried it up to each of us showing it off...he's pictured in the first photo above with the Praying Mantis). Above, the girls study a caterpillar as he jiggles about.
