We had the honor of housing Steve's aunt and uncle last night as they passed through from AZ, on their way to MI & NY (and we're so blessed they did! Thank you--if you're reading!). They brought their granddaughter, Ashlyn, age 7 with them. She is Stephen's cousin's daughter.
The girls had a fun time playing with their newly introduced cousin. They played for a few hours or so before bedtime. When it was finally time to get ready to sleep, Ashlyn spotted a book in the bathroom..."What's that book about?" she asked her grandma.
"It's about adoption. One of their girls is adopted."
"Really?" Ashlyn asked, "Which one?...It must be Emilyn because she's the baby!"
Don't you just LOVE that?
Uncle Bob and Aunt Sue had never met our kids before (or me!). Here they are enjoying their youngest great niece.

Alexia asked how Jaci's hair got that long? Cute pics, we were wondering who the "extras" in the pics were.
I've tagged you on my blog for a little info about you and I also finally posted all the quilt squares including y'alls - C
I always think your posts are so heartwarming..."who's adopted?" what a wonderful testament to your loving family! You are such an inspiration and a great gift from God! Thankfully we met each other those 17 years ago...you never fail to make me smile.
Love you, Patti
