Happy belated birthday to me!!

On Tuesday night the family took me out for my belated birthday dinner. The big girls got to wear their angel costumes. We were asked at the restaurant if there was a school play that night. When I told them, "No, we were sick on Halloween...so they are wearing them tonight." We still got a questioning look. Then it struck me that it's completely normal for our family to go out Halloween night for birthday dinner in costumes because it's become our own little tradition.
They took me to an Indian restaurant in the next town over (about 40 minutes away). It's been there since we moved here, but somehow we missed learning of it. That was the best curry I've had since we lived in England! We had Naan and Pompidom (I know I'm spelling that wrong). If my stomach were as big as my eyes so to speak... I would have ordered Tandoori chicken and Samosas, too. I guess we'll just have to go back again...(yes, Teresa in India, I know you get the real deal anytime you want!).
I didn't have birthday cake until Friday night when I met with some lady friends. So it's been an extended celebration. (It started when my wonderful friend and neighbor "Ms. Mary" had taken me to birthday dinner the night before my "sick" birthday--and no it was not the food, Mary--thanks for taking me out!)...

P.S. I guess Emilyn was the only one that outgrew the angel costume, huh?

Love you,
