Our baby turned "2" today and she seemed to enjoy every moment.
Her big sisters sang Happy Birthday to her several times.
We went to the mall and had her picture taken for her big day.
She posed more wonderfully than she ever has.
She also seemed to start talking more all of a sudden today.
We kept asking, "Is it your birthday?" and she would smile big and say "yes!".
For her birthday we bought a picnic table we'll use with all the girls outdoors once the weather warms up. Her birthday was a good excuse to make our investment which will no doubt be well used. The girls used it today for meals and play most of their waking minutes.
Emilyn enjoyed birthday calls from Uncle Erik and Alexia and family and Papa and Nana. She did her best to make conversation.
We had pizza for dinner (an Emilyn favorite)
and then she enjoyed every morsel of her cake and ice cream. She put the ice cream in her fist and ate up. She then asked for more.
Our friends and neighbors Mr. Jim and Ms. Mary joined us for the cake and ice cream. The older girls also practiced their dance for them, which they plan to do in a recital this coming Sunday. They were a very kind audience.
Emilyn went to bed a very happy girl. We enjoyed watching her enjoy her special day so well. We thank God for our little girl.

it's hard to believe she's already 2! it seems like just yesterday i got the call from ruthann that she was born. and now she'll be a big sissy too. she is becoming such a big girl and it's always fun ready about her little highlights!

Emilyn is so big now! She's not the baby anymore, but more and more like her big sissies every day! Great job of the blog. Can't wait for her to "chat" with Austin.
Aunt Betty says.....looks like Emilyn had quite a WONDERFUL birthday! Know you will ALL enjoy the picnic table....indoors AND out! Know "Mimi" was happy she could be there to celebrate, too.
