A Florida December Holiday...including Lemon-O.J.-ade

We had the blessing of spending two weeks in Florida at my mom's. The weather was all that a freezing, ice-cold Midwesterner could hope for and we reveled in short sleeves and sunshine.
One special-to-Florida event that the kids enjoyed, was making fresh Orange Juice. Steve and "Mimi" took the three oldest to the neighbor's yard to pick oranges off the tree (yes, the neighbor invited us. =) ). They brought back the "oranges" and found they had actually picked from a lemon tree AND an orange tree. The lemons didn't look like the kind we buy in the store, so it threw them for a loop. But the taste was sure lemony. So we actually had fresh Florida LemonOJade.
Everyone had their role in the process. For me, it was photo taking and sampling the fresh goods.

Aunt Betty says....So happy you were able to find the time to update your blog!!! I love all the memories you made with your family while visiting O-Town. I still love going to Disney....and riding "It's a Small World" That was our last ride of the day when Meghann & I took the girls before they moved.

Couldn't tell from Lainey's expression if she liked the juice :) Will be praying that you find your "lost" pictures....they have to be there somewhere, right???

Give everyone hugs for me.

Love to All,
Aunt Betty
