Emilyn turned 3 months on Saturday, and her big sisters are still in awe of her...it's so lovely to see them love on her and try to make her smile. Emilyn has been very "drooly" the past few days (see photo)and seems to easily soak her shirt front. So we've had to make more clothes changes than usual.

At her 3 month doctor appointment she weighed in at 13 plus pounds. She's like 75% for weight and 25% for length. Up 6 plus pounds since birth!
Lainey...I realized again today how much I love mommying and how hard it is to have to discipline! It makes my heart ache at times.(On a deeper note--it must really grieve God's heart to see us do things we know we shouldn't and have to live with the consequences!). I wish I could just "let it all go"...but it would not be good for them or me in the long run. Plus, I stand before God who made me their Mommy to help guide them. So what brought this on this reminder?
Little Lainey 2 year old decided to take a marker and run over to the couch and color on it. Now, thankfully she chose a green marker for our green couch...but she had to be reprimanded. When I went to get her from her time-out spot she had a big crocodile tear on her right eye and was looking so big and blue-eyed adorable. When I asked her what she did wrong, she admitted with those big "innocent-looking" eyes, that she drew on the couch. The way she said it in her sweet little toddler voice made me fight a smile. I had to look down. So she looked down trying to find what I was looking at.
I know I'm not the first to want to giggle instead of be firm!!
Anyways, here she is today just hangin' with baby sissy...

MOMMY AND DADDY IN THE MOVIES...Jaci and Lainey watched our wedding DVD with us...they were glued. I think they enjoyed a show where they knew so many of the "characters"--yes that means many of you, too!! Jaci commented after naming several familiar faces, "Everybody's there!"
Here they are watching...

JACI POTTY UPDATE: She stayed dry through the weekend...but Mon. and Tues. she had "accidents" at naptime or just after...today she was dry all day!! After getting up twice to use the potty at naptime, I had to tell her she could "hold" anything else 'til naptime was over. Needless to say she was extra tired this afternoon after doing more pottying than sleeping!

Maybe Lainey was playing "match the color"? Seriously, Mimi is happy her grandchildren are being disciplined....It IS so hard not to laugh when they look back at you soooo cute & pathetic, isn't it? I'll try not to laugh too loud when I get to see it first hand in just 3 MORE WEEKS!Love, MIMI
