Jaci has been doing very well with potty training and has not had a daytime accident since I last posted. We thank the Lord!! We had a few deep conversations today while Jaci "pottied". This morning while on the potty at church she asked, "Does the Muffin Man have any children?"--as in the "Do-you-know-the-Muffin-Man-that-lives-in-Drury Lane" Muffin Man. I wasn't sure how to reply, but we decided if he did have kids, their names were probably Blueberry and Banana Nut. We both had a good giggle with that one.
Tonight we went to a special service at church and spent time in the bathroom again together...she quietly observed, "There's no books in this bathroom, Mommy." "No, there's not, are there..." I replied. She responded something like, "We're going to have to get some books in here."
In other Jaci news...she tried to get Emilyn involved in "play" today. Jaci played "dress-up and dance" with a costume from Mimi. She then laid a costume on Emilyn so that she could be a part of the activity.

This past week, Emilyn started reaching out to "bat" toys that are put in front of her...

Here are the two older girls dancing in the kitchen today.

Thursday was Steve's birthday. The girls helped me make him a cake. Here they are doing their favorite part--clean up.

It was a nice weekend, but still warm enough to enjoy a good outdoor popsicle.

Finally, Lainey is proud of her new recent accomplishment--being able to take off her shoes all by herself. She made sure we knew it today when she did it and enjoyed much praise from us all... I caught her putting them on today, too...
