How blessed we were exactly 3 years ago today when the courts of Kazakhstan saw fit for us to be the parents of our sweet Jacinth Balnur!! What a HAPPY day it was to get to take her away from the 4 walls of the baby house that held her 'til we could take her to our hotel as Forever Family. God allowed this precious child to make us a Mommy and Daddy. We are so happy and proud to be able to be her parents. We thank the Lord for choosing us for each other. It was interesting, today at church someone commented that he can often tell when someone's child is "the adopted one" or the "stepchild". But he said he can't tell any difference between Jaci's relationship with us and her sisters' relationship with us. If she didn't look different from us you'd never know she's adopted. I'm glad he didn't say otherwise, because we feel she is as much our daughter as Lainey and Emilyn are. God just brought them to us by varying means. Our life would be so incomplete without her in it. What a miracle she is. We can't stop giving praises for her life...
The top two photos...one is from Sept. 17, 2003 after Jaci had her 1st bath with us at the hotel room. Ironically she is wearing the same nighty that Emilyn is wearing to go to bed in tonight! (see photo of Emilyn to follow). The second photo is during bathtime tonight. The girls got their ears pierced today and so she also shows us her new studs. Of course we had to have a little cake after dinner to celebrate tonight as well since it's one of Jaci's most favorite eatin' treats!

In the photo of Lainey, Jaci is helping to wash her hair. So sweet.

What a blessing Jaci is to you and what a blessing you are to her. I know what you mean about not being able to imagine your family without her....we feel the same way about Tish & Mark's twins...who will be turning 7 in a few days....time surely does fly!
Just savor every moment...they are all priceless!
Much love,
Betty
They are such precious gifts from God aren't they, our adopted little miracles. What a joy it is to celebrate the special way they joined our families. We celebrated our 2nd "Gotcha Day" anniversary recently too, and I know what you mean about not being able to imagine life without them. What a miracle! Congratulations, Jaci is growing up to be such a beautiful little girl inside and out, just like her Mommy!!!
Happy Adoption Day, Jaci!
