We took a short weekend up to see Steve's grandma, Mary Smith, celebrate her 100th birthday on Saturday. This amazing, God-fearing woman, has out-lived 3 husbands and her only son, Stephen's dad. She has 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many extended family members from her other 2 marriages. She is well-loved by many. Great-grandma (G.G.) poses with Steve's mom and sister.

We had a party for her in the church basement next to her home. Dozens of people showed to give her birthday blessings and to show their support.

We also took a family photo of Great-grandma with her 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 granddaughter-n-laws. Steve's oldest brother and family are moving back to Zambia in a few weeks to continue their mission work. So we couldn't miss the opportunity to take a full-family photo. Not sure when we'll all be in one place again. It was a blessed weekend for all.
Here is a photo of the youngest at the birthday weekend (Emilyn) with one of Steve's dad's best friends, Gerry Peacock. Gerry drove up to MI from IL for the celebration.
