Yes, there she is...little Miss Innocent. Only minutes after sucking on a near-empty--but not quite--computer ink cartridge. Can you see the little stain of blue ink near the left of her lips? Well, trust me, it's there. As were the blue teeth and tongue to match.
I don't recommend ink cartridge lollipops....and I had no idea that my baby--sitting on my lap, mind you, was sucking one! I had just gotten her up from her nap. I checked email...she was sitting facing toward me. She had her sippy cup in hand. I thought she was just sucking away on it for 5 minutes--playing and chewing. No, thankfully I finally noticed the cartridge!
How did that happen? Well, the shade was drawn and the room was dark. I have no other good explanation.
I just had to call poison control to be safe instead of sorry. I did that because when I jiggled the cartridge, it still sounded like it had some ink in it. She'd been sucking on it for a few minutes--so I had no idea how much she may have ingested. They told me to clean her up with soap and water, give her some liquids, keep an eye on her and call them back in an hour.
The only side effect was a blue smile.
Counting my blessings once again.

Oh my, I wonder what flavor it was? Thank the Lord, He is watching when we are not!

Well, Cher, it seems every family must have at least ONE child who gets into everything! Thank God that it was harmless......scary, I'm sure.
