Jaci's Adoption Day...

For lack of better title, we were reminded once again today of that blessed day 5 years ago when the courts in Kazakhstan told us that Jaci was officially, legally our daughter.

Jaci gets very excited about this day. She went to ballet as usual today. But when we got home she remembered that she had forgotten to tell her teacher that it was her adoption day. Then she confessed,

"Mom, I didn't want to tell anyone about my adoption day."

"Why?" I asked. "Do you want to stop celebrating it?"

"No. I just didn't want the others to be jealous."

(ha. ha. so thoughtful of the girl, don't you think!!)

Jaci made for certain that we had cake for her special day (which we told the girls it's all-sissy day, too). We went out to dinner at O'Charley's and then home for this cake. See that smile:
